Terms and conditions
Introduction
These terms and conditions set out the expectations for the service user and the therapist. They dictate the contract between both parties and ensure that both are protected in the unlikely event that a disagreement occurs.
Please read these terms and conditions and contact me if you have any questions. Please read then sign 2 copies, returning one to myself before our first appointment. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Typical working hours
I work Monday to Friday occasional weekends between 9:30am-5:30pm. Please contact me for my availability.
Location and travel
I currently live in West Yorkshire and can travel to all surrounding areas. I can also support families who live in South Wales. I have extensive experience working remotely and can offer my services nationwide.
Role of parent/guardian
Therapy is most effective when parents, teaching assistants, teachers observe sessions. This ensures greater understanding of how therapy is helping your child and develops additional confidence and skills in carrying out ideas in the home and school environment. If this is not feasible, brief feedback will be given either verbally or written.
It is expected that a parent is present throughout the session when this is in the home. It is expected that a Teaching Assistant is present throughout the session when this takes place in a nursery or school setting. Parents may also attend school therapy sessions and be present for feedback and meetings.

Payment should be prior to the appointment and no later than 24 hours before the appointment. Failure to do so could lead to the appointment being cancelled by the therapist. The preferred method of payment is bank transfer. However, if unable to use this method, then cash is also accepted.
If payment is not made in line with the terms and conditions above then the therapist has the right to cancel any arranged appointments.
If after one reminder, payment is still not received, and alternative arrangements have not been agreed in writing between the therapist and parent/guardian, then debt collection proceedings may be commenced.
Cancellations
If the client cancels an appointment with over 24 hours notice, no fee will be charged. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the full appointment fee will be charged.
In the instance where a parent is funding intervention for a client being seen in the educational setting, if the educational setting cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, the parent will be charged.
If the therapist arrives for the appointment but a session cannot take place and no prior notice has been given (e.g. a child is unwell or not in the right frame of mind for the appointment), then the full fee of the session will be charged, including any travel costs incurred. It is at the discretion of the therapist to waver this fee if she feels the circumstances of the cancellation are extenuating.
If the therapist is unable to attend an appointment, the maximum possible notice will be given and no charge will be incurred. The appointment will be rescheduled at the next possible convenient time.
