What is paediatric speech and language therapy?

Paediatric speech and language therapy involves helping children from the ages of 0-18 with any form of social and/or communication difficulty. These difficulties can include, but are not limited to the following:

  • poor concentration span

  • difficulties with talking and interacting with peers

  • being unable to follow instructions

  • not understanding basic concepts 

  • finding it hard to understand and answer questions

  • difficulties with combining words together to form short phrases or sentences 

  • difficulty pronouncing sounds 

  • poor conversational skills

  • word finding difficulties 

  • limited vocabulary 

  • difficulties with memory

  • delayed developmental milestones
